So I finally graduated from grad school....yay me! Which frees up an abundant amount of time...I am not going to lie!! Since I graduated this is what has happened with little Miss Rosie. I built the dinette benches from plans I found online. I changed them a little and left the front foot panels off so I can slide storage underneath. Once I have the interior painted and the new flooring in I will bracket them into the floor so they are more sturdy. For never doing any real carpentry I am pretty impressed with the results. Yet again.....yay me!!
I forgot to measure to make sure the table would fit and it was a miracle it fit perfect....thank goodness for internet plans that were correct!!
Once it got too cold to do much more outside with Miss Rosie I decided to work on the cushions. I had purchased a twin sized foam mattress after researching which is the cheapest way to go with the least amount of cuts. I used an electric carving knife to cut the foam and it cut like warm butter. I did a no sew method on the cushions and stapled them on the back side to plywood cut a inch shorter than the foam. Wrapped the foam in batting and then attached the fabric. It was fun actually....yes I know I am a nerd.
And finally here I am enjoying my creation! If you notice my head fits perfectly under the cabinet space above and my legs are not cramped by sitting too low to the ground. It turned out perfectly. And my puppy Penny approves too!!
